Malek Akkad: I don’t think we will, actually. We are into the new generation of Halloween, and I can’t see looking back at this point.

Q. Will a H6 Producer’s Cut be released on DVD anytime soon?
Malek Akkad: I know it’s been talked about, but ultimately it is Disney’s call, as they own the rights to Halloween 6-8. I think from a financial stand point, (which would be their concern) because the film has been so widely seen on the internet, it might not make sense.

Q. What is the reason you chose to team up with Rob Zombie to do the remake of H2?
Malek Akkad: Because he was so great to work with on the last film. Also, because this film is not constrained by being a remake, he is free to explore the story more in his own style, which excited me very much. As a result, I think this film will take the series into new areas that we have not seen before.

Q. Would you ever consider a Michael Vs. Jason movie someday? I’d love to see Michael venture into Camp Crystal Lake or Jason walk into Haddonfield someday?
Malek Akkad: No, I think that Michael Myers is in a league of his own. Not to take away from the other characters, but I think any pairing would water-down the essence of Halloween. I would rather stop the films than do a team-up.
