Continuity: After Laurie takes a drink she hands the ‘open’ bottle over to Will. In the very next shot Will has to remove the top off the bottle in order to take a drink.
Continuity: Several different masks were used during filming, including a digital version, that depending on the scene, the mask will literally change from shot to shot.
Goof: When Michael hangs down from the pipe at the school, Laurie’s wound is visible before he stabs her.
Goof: In the opening montage there is an image that says “Class of 78” w/ Laurie Strode – Laurie would have graduated in ’79 if she was a senior during the first Halloween, since it was October of ’78, and graduation would have been the next year.
Goof: (Spoiler) As Michael is slitting Marion’s throat, you can see the knife is designed to fit around her throat and a part of it is missing. That is where the blood comes out.
Goof: In the opening montage, there is an article for Laurie’s ‘faked’ death. It reads Longtime Haddonfield resident Laurie Strode, survivor of the so-called “Halloween” mass murders in 1968. The Murders happened in 1978.
Goof: In the opening montage, Myers name is spelled incorrectly as Meyers in the Psychology Review article featuring Dr. Loomis.
Continuity: In the classroom on the blackboard, the spelling of W.B. Yeats’ name changes from the incorrect spelling of “Yates” to the correct “Yeats.”
Goof: In the opening montage, Myers name is spelled incorrectly as Meyers in the Psychology Review article featuring Dr. Loomis.
Continuity: When Laurie is driving away in the coroner’s van with Michael, the word Coroner written on the side of the van disappears and reappears repeatedly.
