Halloween H20 Extended

DELETED SCENES

While there has never been an official DVD or Blu-ray release of Halloween H20 featuring any additional footage or deleted scenes, the FX Network was the only place you could see the film with any extra footage. Much like Halloween II, scenes had to be cut due to the content and in order to keep the run time intact, this footage was added back into the film. Some shots were simply just cut for time or continuity from the theatrical version, while others scenes were from footage shot using the original K.N.B mask.

There is an extended shot of Marion’s office from Jimmy’s POV and his reaction to the mess, which is later revealed when Marion herself enters the home. There is also different take of Marion entering Jimmy’s house and with the violent content removed (both deaths) Myers is now not chasing Marion. He simply walks thru an opened back door, grabs the knife and (from behind) we see more footage of Myers walking towards the front living room via the hall where they meet and fight.

At the bathroom rest stop we see Myers peeking through the men’s room door and then from his POV as he watches the mother and daughter try to open the locked door to the woman’s bathroom. There is a deleted scene of John and Charlie walking to the liquor store talking about their plans for the evening and as they enter the store Myers is driving by in the green wagon. Later, there is another deleted scene with Laurie and Will at her house. Will (while carving a Pumpkin) shares a story about his family growing up hoping to get Laurie to open up about hers. Laurie just smiles and says “Families are tough”.

While Charlie is reaching into the sink for the corkscrew and Myers appears behind him, the scene extends further and shows Myers continue to walk behind Charlie so that you know where he’s standing when Charlie turns around. When John and Molly head to the kitchen to investigate the loud noise, instead of finding Sarah hanging from the light (cut for content). They added in the shot of Myers walking in the kitchen right before he kills Sarah from the theatrical version. Ultimately the scare is not the dead body, (which was cut out completely) but Myers standing there tilting his head. As John and Molly run out of the room the scene extends further with Myers still tilting his head, wearing the original mask and then walks towards the camera after them.

As John and Molly are running back up to the school from the woods, there are several extended shots with Myers (wearing the original mask) coming after them. There are also extended shots with Myers (wearing the original mask) coming after Laurie, John and Molly as they leave the school and head to her SUV. Finally as Laurie reenters the school to go after Myers, there is some extended/additional footage of her walking through the halls and even turning around to see if he is behind her.
