HALLOWEEN NANOFORCE® DELUXE SET DETAILS

This deluxe box contains twelve 2-inch scale, solid unpainted figures (in orange and black for Halloween, of course) plus a 4-inch glow in the dark bonus figure. Each one represents a character or icon from John Carpenter’s HALLOWEEN. All packed in a reusable, collectible box, these highly-detailed, 3D-digitally sculpted figures can be displayed on the enclosed map of Haddonfield, which doubles as a checklist.

RELEASE INFORMATION

John Carpenter’s Halloween, Halloween 4 & Halloween 5 Return to the Drive-In (List Updated 10/9/2020)

You’ve seen Halloween, but have you ever experienced it as many first did in 1978, at a drive-in? Well, now you can, because John Carpenter’s seminal 1978 classic is returning to drive-ins through October 31, along with Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers and Halloween 5: The Revenge of Michael Myers, and here’s how you can request your local drive-in to screen them!

Speaking with HalloweenMovies.com, Halloween (2018) and Halloween Kills producer Ryan Freimann offered of the news, “Trancas International Films and Compass International Pictures have partnered with CineLife Entertainment® in order to bring Halloween to audiences safely during this time of pandemic, and drive-in theater owners seem excited to be booking it as the Halloween season is right around the corner.”

Having premiered in cinemas and on drive-in screens on October 25, 1978, John Carpenter’s Halloween changed the landscape of horror cinema, stunning audiences worldwide and inspiring countless films in the genre. For the 2020 drive-in engagement, the digital print of Halloween has been restored and remastered under the supervision of cinematographer Dean Cundey.

A Retro Halloween ’78 Lunch Box Coming from Fright-Rags?

We’re pretty excited by the teaser image our friends over at Fright-Rags posted yesterday to their Instagram account @frightrags of a retro looking Halloween ’78 lunchbox! With the caption, “100 days until Halloween…and here’s a lil’ tease of something very special coming this October.”

We dug a bit, and found out via Halloween (2018) executive producer Ryan Freimann’s Instagram account @rfriemann that it’s indeed just that! “I was really hope that this one will be enjoyed,” posted Freimann, who also serves as executive producer on the upcoming 2021 release Halloween Kills. “We teamed up with @frightrags to bring you a Halloween ’78 lunchbox with thermos for all of your nostalgic dreams. Can’t wait for you all to see the full reveal. Many more exciting things to come!”

Wanna’ See Keri Tate’s Driver’s License from Halloween H20: Twenty Years Later?

As Halloween fans, we love minutia, from the fine print on John Tate’s screen-used permission slip for Hillcrest Academy’s Yosemite outing as seen in 1998’s Halloween H20: Twenty Years Later (you can see that here), to the same’s screen-used 17th  birthday card and envelope (we took a peek at those here). Today we bring you a look at another piece of production art from the film: Keri “Laurie Strode” Tate’s driver’s license!

With her address listed as “1313 Hillcrest Lane” (a partial nod to the street number of the Munsters mansion, perhaps?), it seems H20’s art department had a bit of a sense of humor.

As for a peek at the location which stood in for Hillcrest Academy, we took at look at that recently as well here.

‘Rewind’ to ‘08: Michael Myers on Ghost Whisperer

The film franchise Halloween, and its central character of iconic slasher Michael Myers, has over its 42 year legacy permeated international pop culture, with the masked figure making appearances in several mediums, including the American television series “Robot Chicken” and Seth McFarlane’s “Family Guy,” but did you know he also made a brief cameo in the Jennifer Love Hewitt CBS series “Ghost Whisperer” in 2008?

Appearing in the fifteenth episode of season three titled “Horror Show,” the Shape makes a “blink and you’ll miss it” appearance in the episode, knife in hand, as a jump scare in the living room of lead character Melinda (Love Hewitt), who finds herself caught up in a supernaturally charged investigation that turns a bit horrific.

Seems battling that fisherman in 1997’s I Know What You Did Last Summer (a film which directly homages John Carpenter’s classic Halloween in several scenes) isn’t the only slasher Love Hewitt’s encountered.

‘Rewind’ to ’81: Donald “Dr. Loomis” Pleasence Talks Halloween on SNL w/ Eddie Murphy!

Our latest ‘Rewind’ into Halloween history takes us all the way back to the October 31, 1981 episode of Saturday Night Live, which was hosted by Halloween series star, the late great Donald Pleasence. Airing the day following the release of director Rick Rosenthal’s Halloween II, the SNL episode contained a few skits featuring veteran actor Pleasence, including the one below with SNL cast member Eddie Murphy, in which they both plug Halloween, while also discussing Murphy’s pre-show ritual. It’s a hoot, and also features a brief cameo by John Belushi, in his very last SNL appearance.

Danny McBride & David Gordon Green Tease Halloween Kills’ “Viral Fear” in Empire Magazine

Jaime Lee Curtis as “Laurie Strode” in Halloween Kills

“It takes place the same night, picking up where the last movie ended,” Halloween (2018) and Halloween Kills co-writer Danny McBride explains in the latest issue of Empire magazine, in regards to what audiences can expect of Halloween Kills, coming from Universal Pictures on October 15, 2021.

“Events in the film bring together a lot of characters who were in the 1978 (Halloween) film who we didn’t see last time,” he continued. “They gather to try, once and for all, to take down Michael, to stop this madman.”

Halloween (2018) and Halloween Kills director and co-writer David Gordon Greens adds, “The (2018 movie) was more about Laurie’s life of isolation after Michael and her attempts at revenge. It was personal. This is more about the unravelling of a community into chaos. It’s about how fear spreads virally.”

As for series star Jamie Lee Curtis, who returns in Halloween Kills to reprise her role of “Laurie Strode” (which she originated in John Carpenter’s immortal classic, Halloween), Green says of her turn in the upcoming film, “The fact  that she could do her own stunts, kick everybody’s ass and be a joy to work with (in the 2018 film) definitely meant re-evaluating what we wanted to do with the next chapter of the story. We were excited to write without limitations about what Laurie can do.”

Halloween Series Producer Malek Akkad Talks the Delay of Halloween Kills

On the heels of yesterday’s announcement concerning the release date shift of Halloween Kills from October 16, 2020 to October 15, 2021 (you can read about that here, as well as the letter concerning the shift from director David Gordon Green and series originator John Carpenter here), longtime Halloween series and Halloween Kills producer Malek Akkad reached out to HalloweenMovies.com this morning and offered the following.

“Moving the release date of Halloween Kills was such a tough decision,” said Akkad. “The entire cast and crew have been so excited to share it with the world. But, we all believe it’s the right thing to do, as we want the film to be seen in the best format possible. I know that this will be disappointing for Halloween fans. We’ve always cherished their support and love for the franchise. We hope they’ll agree that given the current circumstances, it’s the best decision, and that the film will be well worth the wait.”
