Danielle Harris made her big screen debut in Halloween 4 at the age of 11. According to Halloween 4 director Dwight H. Little Danielle was very professional for that age and took direction and notes very well and Halloween fans agreed as she became a fan favorite. Danielle has appeared in 4 Halloween films in all. Halloween 4 & 5 and Both of Rob Zombies remakes. With the exception of Donald Pleasence and Jamie Lee Curtis, Harris has appeared in more Halloween films than any other Halloween actor.
Danielle reprised her role in Halloween 5 and went on star or appear in numerous major films, such as The Last Boy Scout, Don’t Tell Mom the Babysitter’s Dead, City Slickers and Daylight. She had a regular guest star role on the Roseanne television series, The Wild Thornberrys, and made an appearance on ER.
She told Fangoria once, “I got a little type-cast after Halloween 5, a little like Jamie Lee Curtis did. But she hasn’t done too badly, has she?” Producers considered her for a return in Halloween 6, but after going through several hurdles to reprise the role the studio ultimately wouldn’t pay the fee she needed just to break even and her part was recast. Danielle was even considered for a different role in Halloween Resurrection.
However, in 2007 when Rob Zombie offered up his re-imaging of John Carpenter’s Halloween Danielle was cast as Annie Brackett and in a surprising turn of events survived long enough to be in the sequel. Recently Danielle has starred in films such as Hatchet II & Hatchet III, Night of the Living Dead: Darkest Dawn and appeared on Robot Chicken.
Danielle is very active in Hollywood today and also makes appearances at horror conventions around the world.
