Paul Rudd trained at the British Drama Academy at Oxford University. Rudd made his acting debut in 1992 with the television drama Sisters on NBC where he played Kirby Quimby Philby. So he was virtually unknown when he was cast in the role of Tommy Doyle for Halloween. He would also star in the hit comedy Clueless with Alicia Silverstone which released that same year.
Since Halloween, Rudd starred in many projects including the 1999 film The Cider House Rules that earned him and the cast a SAG nomination for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture.
However, in 2004 his career was about to change. Rudd was cast alongside Steve Carell, David Koechner and Will Ferrell in the Judd Apatow hit comedy Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy which propelled him into super stardom. He then went on to star in many other Hollywood productions such as The 40-Year-Old Virgin, Knocked Up, Forgetting Sarah Marshall, Role Models, I Love You, Man and more.
Rudd most recent work include numerous appearances on NBC’s Parks and Recreation, Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp, Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues and the blockbuster film from Marvel/Walt Disney Studios Ant-Man and the upcoming sequel(s) as well as Captain America: Civil War.
