Horror’s Hallowed Grounds Host Sean Clark Talks Screen-Used Halloween Props

April 3, 2019 by HalloweenMovies

The latest episode of the docu-series Collection Complete (which takes an in-depth look into the lives of artists and the collections that fuel their work) returns for an expanded look into the rarely-seen prop collection of Horror’s Hallowed Grounds host Sean Clark, which includes screen-used items from the Halloween franchise, and a whole lot more.

You can watch the episode below.

The episode (which serves as part two on Clark’s Halloween collection) also chronicles the evolution of his horror location docu-series Horror’s Hallowed Grounds, which has featured many filming locations from the Halloween franchise, from the Myers house in South Pasadena, CA to the home of Halloween II’s Mrs. Elrod in the same. Speaking of which, Clark shows off that cutting board (which he now owns), as well as an original Halloween shooting script, given to him by The Shape himself, Nick Castle.

“We Need a Dark Delicacies in the World.”

January 24, 2019 by Sean Decker

With rents rising inexorably in the kitschy and cool corridor of Magnolia Park in Burbank, CA, local to the area horror book store & gift shop Dark Delicacies, a venerable staple of the Los Angeles and world-wide horror communities, is feeling the pinch. And along with many other “mom & pop” stores which provide the area its retro, genre charm, the owners of Dark Delicacies are unfortunately being forced to relocate their store.

Subsequently, the horror community has stepped up in order to assist them.

“We need a Dark Delicacies in the world,” said Malek Akkad of Trancas International Films of the store’s importance within the genre, and in assisting them in their relocation (to nearby Hollywood Way, address forthcoming).

“Both owners Del and Sue have over the years tirelessly supported the horror genre through their countless in-store signings, charitable work and events,” Akkad expounded. “And to that end, we’re beyond thrilled to see that the genre community itself has come together to support them during their costly move and rebuild, in order to assist Dark Delicacies in remaining the horror destination it’s been for over twenty-five years.”

Horror fans already helping Dark Delicacies via donations to their GoFundMe page include notable filmmakers Guillermo del Toro (Pan’s Labyrinth), James Wan (Insidious) and Trancas International Films, among myriad others.

If you’d like to help, Dark Delicacies’ GoFundMe page is here, and you can visit them online here, as well as on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
